Art featuring a character in a cowboy hat with multiple arms in a mystical background, surrounded by various symbols and logos, including gaming consoles and publishing companies.

Striking a massive high note for shooter fans, visionary art director Viktor Antonov—celebrated globally for designing the iconic, oppressive worlds of Half-Life 2 (City 17) and Dishonored (Dunwall)—has officially pulled back the curtain on his next project: Guns of Eschaton.

Developed from the ground up in Unreal Engine 5, the game is being pitched as a dark, deeply atmospheric “Souls-like first-person shooter.” The stunning reveal trailer showcases Antonov’s signature style: towering, bleak, gothic architecture blended seamlessly with cold, industrial sci-fi machinery.

Unlike fast-paced arcade shooters, Guns of Eschaton features highly tactical, high-stakes gunplay where position, resource management, and timing matter far more than twitch reflexes. Boss fights look massive and punishing, requiring players to study attack patterns just as they would in a FromSoftware title. The breathtaking aesthetic and unique genre blend have immediately vaulted the game to the top of “most anticipated” lists for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
