Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe has officially laid out its plans for Gamescom 2026 in Cologne, Germany. The publisher is bringing a heavyweight lineup to the show floor, featuring European hands-on debuts for high-profile anime fighters, high-flying dogfighters, and dark fantasy action RPGs.

Whether you’re heading to Hall 6.1 or following the coverage from home, here is every major title Bandai Namco is making fully playable at their booth:

1. Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3

Making its major European public debut, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 gives fans their first hands-on look at the next chapter of the arena-brawling franchise. Built on custom original concepts from late series creator Akira Toriyama, the demo will let players take their customized Time Patrollers into fast-paced 3D arenas to test out updated combo mechanics and team-based ultimate attacks.

2. Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve

Taking flight on the show floor, Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve will have playable missions showcasing the series’ return to high-stakes air combat. Set in 2029 during a sudden invasion of the Federation of Central Usea, players step into the cockpit as a legendary pilot tasked with rallying broken defenses across photorealistic, storm-battered skies.

3. The Blood of Dawnwalker

For action RPG fans, Bandai Namco is setting up a massive themed area dedicated to The Blood of Dawnwalker. Set in 14th-century Vale Sangora, the game blends dark medieval history with aggressive vampiric combat mechanics. Attendees will be able to play through an early story segment, explore a physical reconstruction of the game’s gothic world, and snap photos at the booth.

4. Code Vein II

The “Anime Souls” action RPG is back. Code Vein II will have playable demo stations featuring expanded weapon classes, refined “Blood Veil” abilities, and tough-as-nails boss encounters designed to test players’ parrying timing and build customization.

5. Tales of Eternia Remastered

Retro RPG fans have plenty to celebrate as Bandai Namco brings a hands-on preview of Tales of Eternia Remastered. Updating the classic 2000 PlayStation JRPG for modern platforms, the demo highlights clean upscaled sprite art, modernized quality-of-life options, and the classic Linear Motion Battle System running at smooth framerates.

What Else to Expect

Alongside the primary hands-on stations, Bandai Namco’s booth will feature stage presentations, developer Q&A sessions, and photo ops for upcoming titles like Gundam Rogue Orbit and Echoes of Aincrad.

Gamescom 2026 runs from August 26 to August 30 at Koelnmesse in Cologne.
