Insomniac Games took center stage at San Diego Comic-Con 2026 to blow the doors off Marvel’s Wolverine. Alongside a violent new Story Trailer setting up Logan’s journey ahead of its September 15, 2026 launch on PS5, the studio revealed key plot details, new artwork, the composer behind the game’s score, and an unexpected fighting game crossover.

Set in Earth-1048 (the same universe as Insomniac’s Spider-Man series), the game picks up with Logan (voiced by Liam McIntyre) returning to Team X after three years away to help protect mutants hiding from society.

The Story & Enemy Factions Breakdown

The new trailer gives fans their clearest look yet at the narrative dynamics driving Logan’s solo adventure:

  • Confronting Jean Grey: The story trailer opens with an intense confrontation between Logan and Jean Grey (voiced by Krizia Bajos), showcasing emotional friction and vulnerability within the mutant group as they fight for survival.
  • The Hand & Lady Deathstrike: Insomniac confirmed The Hand as one of the game’s core enemy factions. Clad in their iconic red garb, the ninja clan forces fast-paced, movement-heavy close-quarters combat. Leading the charge as a primary antagonist is Lady Deathstrike.
  • Reluctant Allies & Villains: The trailer also features Sabretooth—framed as a reluctant partner alongside Logan—while cybernetic mercs The Reavers and Bolivar Trask loom in the background.

Arc System Works Crossover & Full Score Details

  • Arc System Works Suit Crossover: Insomniac announced a day-one collaboration with Arc System Works. Players can unlock Logan’s stylized suit from MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls in Marvel’s Wolverine via story progression. Conversely, MARVEL Tōkon players get Logan’s original Wolverine suit for free starting September 1.
  • Composer David Fleming: Award-winning composer David Fleming (The Last of Us HBO series) is crafting the game’s score. The soundtrack features dynamic music cues that shift based on Logan’s claw-slashing action, with the full album releasing on August 28, 2026.
  • Digital Prequel Comic: Written by Narrative Director Walt Williams with art by Luke Ross, a free prequel comic is now available via Marvel Unlimited to set up Logan’s troubled history with Team X.
