Ubisoft’s shiny new remake, Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, is taking on serious water on Steam. Despite charging full price for the base game, the publisher dropped a staggering $85 worth of microtransactions on launch day. As negative reviews flood in, Ubisoft attempted to calm the waters by arguing that the extra purchases are entirely optional and don’t gatekeep the core game.
