In an unexpected move, Sony Interactive Entertainment has dropped the official PlayStation Plus Essential games list for August 2026 a day ahead of its usual Wednesday schedule.
Headlining the monthly selection is the day-one launch of Big Walk from House House (the team behind Untitled Goose Game), flanked by Techland’s open-world parkour sequel Dying Light 2: Stay Human and rose-engine’s acclaimed survival horror Signalis.
All three titles will be available for Essential, Extra, and Premium subscribers to claim and download starting Tuesday, August 4, 2026.
