Hideo Kojima is going to be showing a tech demo of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain at the Tokyo Game Show however it really is a pain as apparently enemies are so unpredictable that he cannot plan a presentation beforehand.
“If you’re going to see the demo at the stage event, I may have to stop [before the end of the presentation] because of mistakes”
“Oh my, the demo for the stage event is 100% more difficult. The behavior of the enemy is different every time, I can’t help it because I cannot predict it. I found out while playing that it’s not possible to pre-plan the presentation. If it was our own booth, extending the time would be possible on a case-by-case basis, but this time it’s not.”
If this is the biggest problem that Kojima is facing then all we can see is that we’re really excited. Imagine an enemy so unpredictable that every time you play the game its totally different. Hopefully this will become a growing trend on all next gen titles because you cannot beat a good AI.
